This two-year-old bull is quadruple bred WS Jamakizm, double bred Cowboy Tuff, double bred Lauras Light Mocha, double bred Drag Iron and then outcrossed with Top Caliber and JP Rio Grande. His sire KDK Hercules is 102'' TTT and has continued lateral horn growth. Transformer has no progeny for us yet but we think he will flourish in a wide open, Johne's free, tall grass environment that is natural for longhorns. Even though we are in southern Kansas only 7 miles from the Oklahoma border, the winters can have subzero windchill factors that last for a 10-14 days.Commercial cattle do fine but horns do not..We have had frozen horns with tip breakage and much worse in bad cold spells. Hence, we are selling half interest to a serious breeder in Texas or Oklahoma where the winter weather is warmer. The plan would be to spend spring/summer in Kansas and fall/winter down south..
